Geekologie has a post of rejected Star Wars merch, and a second post of more of them. Personally, I think these Leia AM/FM headphones would have been huge sellers:
I mean, for the woman that loves her geek. She can get all dressed up as Leia and not have to listen to his pathetic lightsaber euphemisms as he fulfills his number one fantasy.
Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker
Naomi and Elijah play "Star Wars" on pretty much a daily basis now. Naomi is Princess Leia (of course), Eli is Luke Skywalker (blonde hair blue eyed, who else could he be?), Leanne is Han Solo and when I'm around, I get to be Obi Wan. This photo is taken immediately after Luke and Leia rescued Han from being captive by Jabba the Hutt, Leia is showing us her phone and Luke his lightsabre, both of which feature in the rescue. Here's how it happened:
In Jabba's Lair, Han Solo is shackled to the wall
Leia: (runs to Han) We have to rescue him!
Luke: (following Leia) Where's my lightsabre?
Leia: I dunno... here, use my phone.
Luke: Okay...
Luke takes the phone from Leia and steps to center stage while he dials a number, puts the phone to his ear and...
Luke: Hello? Where my lightsabre? Okay. Goodbye.
Luke smooches the phone goodbye, and hands it back to Leia. Almost immediately a messenger who bears a striking resemblance to Obi Wan walks in and hands Luke his lightsabre
Luke: Oh! Thanks!
Luke and Leia set about freeing Han Solo, and afterwards there is much rejoicing!

This is easy... it was Star Wars: A New Hope. I was six, and I think I saw it in a drive in with my family. The whole, in my PJs so I'd fall asleep during the movie thing. Not a chance with that movie.
