I don't think a word of that holds, actually. I've never had anyone want to use my iPod (or anything else musical, for that matter) at a party. Even at my own parties (when we used to have them) other people would play their own music mostly. I only find out about shows when friends are going and happen to invite me. I've only ever really read a few music blogs (most recently Three Gigs) and mostly it was just to pillage free MP3s off them. I don't think I've *ever* read a music magazine and rarely manage to get into a record store. I will however offer up musical suggestions if people ask, so perhaps I'm generous that way. I think I can make a decent mixed tape as well, but I suppose I would since I like the music I listen too.
If anyone would like a mixed CD mailed to them, I'd be willing to make one up and mail it to you, or provide a zipped download. Then maybe you can tell me if I suck, and how much. Day 39 - Elijah's Smile for the Camera
This is Eli's standard "Smile for the camera" face. I taught him. I know better than to say "Smile for the camera" to him when I'm about to take his picture, but it's tonnes of fun to watch others try to take his photo :)
In short, yes. And in November. I can't recall if this has happened in the 20 years I've lived here. I hope it goes away quick like!

If you are going to dress up for Halloween, what will you be? Why?

I think I might try to dress up for the work parade/contest thing here, but I've no idea what to do. I'm open to suggestions, if you got any.
We bought Naomi an Ariel (Littlest Mermaid) costume, but she may have decided to be a witch again... we'll see when it comes closer to Hallowe'en what she ends up as. Elijah is probably going as Thomas the Tank Engine, a costume we can borrow from friends, but I might yet have a look around at some others too see if anything pops out.
Last year when people asked Naomi what she was she would reply "I'm the Cutest Witch Ever!" Elijah was dressed as a skunk, perhaps as Naomi's familiar, but since he couldn't even crawl at the time I liked to think he was dressed as road kill.
We went on a little bike ride this morning around Beaver Lake and Elk Lake. It was a pparently a little too long for Eli:

I was going to just repost the photo of the corkscrew for this, but I
figured I've done enough alcohol related posts for a while. Wouldn't
want anyone getting the right idea about me. I use my camera pretty
much every day. I also use the blue hippo towel every day Eli had a
bath, but that's not what this photo is about. Well, not in the
context of today's hunt, anyhow. I guess I could also say I use Eli
every day, in the sense that I play with him every day. This picture
is taken in the bathroom, too, and I use that everyday as well. Lotsa
everyday things in this I guess. The camera is what I was thinking of,
though.
